The 4th Startup Weekend in Novi Sad just finished and the best teams have had ideas about sports activities such as basketball and football, easier finding housing and new technologies in production of camera cranes.

During the weekend the participants presented their initial ideas, voted for them, formed teams, worked all day long with experts in various fields to develop these ideas into a potentially successful businesses, which were at the end evaluated by a jury.

Most business ideas were actually developing applications for mobile phones and other devices, in area of healthcare, tourism, gaming, music equipment, sports…

Trainings of pitching ideas were also organized. Assistant at Faculty of Economy that focused on encouraging entrepreneurship Viktorija Petrov held a training in which he emphasized that people who are pitching should be simple and short, have a positive attitude and speak loud and clear.

Participants say that the most important things they got from the Startup Weekend is new team members, thinking about their products in many different ways that are important in business, learning about entrepreneurship and having fun while doing all that.

All participants were given iDEAlab brochures, and the best teams will become the first tenants of our new space.
