Within the Erasmus program focused on education, trainings, youth and project "Fostering students’ entrepreneurship and open innovation in university-industry collaboration", University of Donja Gorica (UDG) opened a modern and the only 3D laboratory in Montenegro – iDEALab.
The laboratory is designed to develop students’ ideas and it’s a meaning to achieve one the primary goals of UDG – students should find a job during studying and create their own businesses.
Laboratory can be used by every student of 13 faculty units within UDG, but networking is very important because multidisciplinarity is the base of every successful team and idea.
Besides its’ primary role, the laboratory will be used as space where students can do their subject papers and final thesis. It is intended to be used for students’ projects within the course Entrepreneurship and innovations, which is obligatory course for every faculty at University of Donja Gorica. IDEAlab can also use students at School of entrepreneurship and innovations for the young, Market of entrepreneurial ideas and different business forums with entrepreneurial topics.
iDEAlab is one of the creative centers at University of Donja Gorica. It brings together students of different profiles and aims to establish business network important for students in means of their career success. Thanks to the already established connections, iDEAlab will allow users to easily connect with all the relevant institutions for quality development of ideas.
Besides the space and equipment available to users, iDEAlab will provide lectures and workshops in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation, and network of mentors who work in the UDG will be available to laboratory users.
Students can take part of projects as Market of entrepreneurial ideas, School of entrepreneurship and innovations for the young, UDGs’ regional summer school, exhibitions of students of Faculty of design and multimedia.
There will also be organized entrepreneurial panels, competitions in the field of entrepreneurial ideas and students will be able to cooperate with Laboratory for product design which is a part of UDGs project PRODE.
Those two laboratories are a strong support for the students’ business ideas, enabling students to confidently pitch them on the market.
